About Us
100% Volunteer-Driven
LifeLine is made up of passionate volunteers who give their time, energy, and heart to help make the Cayman Islands safer. No one receives a salary—our mission is fueled entirely by community spirit and a shared commitment to saving lives.

Our Vision
A Cayman where no life is lost to sudden cardiac arrest because help was out of reach. We envision a community where AEDs are everywhere they’re needed, and everyone feels confident to step in and save a life.

Our Mission
To strengthen the Cayman Islands’ readiness to respond to sudden cardiac arrest by improving access to AEDs, supporting community awareness, and empowering bystanders to take life-saving action.

Our Directors & Supervisors
Meet Our Directors
LifeLine is guided by a passionate team of volunteer directors and supervisors who generously give their time, expertise, and leadership. From strategic planning to hands-on support in the field, their commitment ensures our programs run smoothly and our mission stays focused—protecting lives through preparedness and community action.

Christina Kish
Christina is a former attorney who left her legal career in 2020 to dedicate herself fully to
LifeLine. Inspired by her family’s diagnosis with Long QT Syndrome, she has become a
passionate advocate for CPR/AED education and heart safety in the community.

Glenna Black
Glenna has called Cayman home since 2000 and is a passionate supporter of local causes.
After the sudden loss of her husband to a genetic heart condition, she founded the Julian Black
Community Star Trust and now serves as a LifeLine director, championing heart health and
community giving.

Sharon Philbrick
Originally from Canada, Sharon relocated to Cayman in 2019 after running her own home gym,
where she gained a deep appreciation for the importance of CPR and AED access. Now retired,
she serves as a LifeLine director, dedicated to fostering teamwork, inclusion, and lasting
community impact.

Wendy Johnston
Wendy, a former Assistant Director with the Canada Revenue Agency, oversaw her
department’s Workplace Health and Safety portfolio, including AED program implementation
and CPR training. Since moving to Cayman in 2012, she has brought that expertise to LifeLine
as the coordinator of the LifeForce Programme.

Marc Thomas
Marc is a retired Chartered Accountant with over 35 years of experience in finance and legal
management in the Cayman Islands. A passionate advocate for AED access, he now volunteers
with several charities—including LifeLine—after witnessing the life-saving power of AEDs in his
own community.
Meet Our Volunteers
LifeLine is supported by a dedicated group of volunteers who contribute their talents across a range of areas-from photography and IT support to communications and administrative tasks. Their behind-the-scenes efforts help power our mission and keep everything running smoothly.

Claire Scott
Originally from Scotland, Claire brings her background in destination management and events
to LifeLine, where she has been an invaluable volunteer since moving to Cayman in 2019. Her
dedication and countless hours spent organizing and refining our database have made a lasting
impact on the efficiency of our operations.

Ben Webster
Ben leads LifeLine’s technology efforts, having implemented a secure and modern IT platform to
support our growing digital operations. With deep family roots in the Cayman Islands, he’s a
familiar face in the community and actively supports several charities, including as a Past
President of the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman.

Bouke Maddock
When he’s not busy selling homes with Williams2, Bouke generously volunteers his time as
LifeLine’s unofficial photographer. From headshots to event coverage, he has helped capture
some of our most memorable moments with creativity and care.
LifeForce Volunteers
LifeLine’s LifeForce volunteers are the heartbeat of our mission. These dedicated individuals regularly inspect AEDs across the Cayman Islands to ensure they are fully functional and rescue ready. Their commitment helps make every minute count in a cardiac emergency—saving lives by keeping our communities prepared.
